The New International Version Is Not The Bible
The New International Version (NIV) and most other modern versions are based on faulty Greek texts that have been
translated from corrupted manuscripts that were written centuries ago by men who were not Christians. These men did not believe in
the Trinity. They did not believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost as our one Almighty God in three Persons. The men who
wrote these corrupt manuscripts thought that Jesus was just a man who was honored for his goodness. They believed that “Christ”
was an “entity” that came on Jesus at his baptism and left Jesus at his crucifixion. In their minds, Jesus was to be honored, but He was
not the Almighty God: they did not believe that God became a man and took on a body of flesh and bones.
The NIV and other modern versions have used corrupted texts in order to “water-down” the gospel message. In the NIV,
Jesus is not as powerful, not as holy, and is not the King of Kings. In the NIV, man is not so sinful, hell is not so bad, and the
meaning of the new birth is changed to mean “self reformation.”
For years, the true Holy Bible (the Bible of Abraham Lincoln, John Wesley, D. L. Moody, and our great-great grandparents)
was simply called the Holy Bible, but it actually has a specific name: The Holy Bible, Authorized King James Version (AV1611).
Our beloved Authorized Version was not translated from corrupt texts, and it has no copyright. In fact, its words have been freely
copied into the masonry on our government buildings in Washington , D.C. and even on the Liberty Bell. The Authorized Version
(AV) has no contradictions and has stood the test of time. It is not outdated, although those who are profiting by selling the modern
versions would like you to think so. The AV exalts Jesus Christ as God, for He is one of the Trinity. See how the NIV has twisted
the precious truths of God’s Word:
Old Testament
Gen. 22:8 In the AV Abraham makes this statement to young Isaac: “…God will provide Himself a lamb…” This was a prophetic
statement spoken almost 2000 years before Jesus’ crucifixion. Abraham was telling his son that God Himself would become the
sacrifice for sins. Jesus was the Lamb of God (John 1:29, 36), who died for our sins on the cross; Acts 20:28 tells us that God’s
blood was shed. The NIV, however, changes the placement of the word “himself” so that the verse reads: “God himself will provide
the lamb...” The NIV rendering merely implies that God will provide Abraham with an offering for that day (referring to the animal
caught in the thicket). This is not the meaning of the verse, because the animal that is caught in the thicket was a ram, not a lamb
(verse 13). The correct meaning is seen in the AV: that God would provide Himself as the Lamb for an offering for sin on that same
mountain 2000 years in Abraham’s future. [Not only did God reveal to Abraham the future sacrifice of Messiah, but God also
revealed the resurrection to Abraham (Hebrews 11:17-19)].
II Sam. 21:19 The NIV is incorrect here as it states that Elhanan killed Goliath. The truth is that David killed Goliath (I Samuel 17:
48-51); Elhanan killed Goliath’s brother (I Chron. 20:5).
Job 40:4 Job’s declaration that he was “vile” is changed to “unworthy” in the NIV. These words do not have the same meaning.
Psa. 12:6-7 The AV says that God will preserve His words: “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of
earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” Many people do
not believe this verse. They believe that God gave His words years ago but that we do not have His words today. To them we pose
this question: “Why would God give His words years ago to those who penned His words, if God did not intend to preserve those
words for people to read down through the centuries?” Those who claim that such preservation is impossible should answer the
following question: “If God does not have the ability to preserve His words through the centuries, then how can He preserve your
soul from Hell?” Of course, the Bible corruptors cannot have people thinking they have the preserved Word of God. Who would
buy the new versions? The Bible corruptors had to change Psa. 12:6-7. In the NIV it reads: “And the words of the LORD are
flawless like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times. O LORD, you will keep us safe and protect us from such people
forever.” The NIV removes the phrase that says that God’s Word is “preserved.”
Psa. 83:18 The AV says, “That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.” Ex. 6:
3 says that Jehovah is God Almighty, and Isa. 12:2 says that Jehovah is become my salvation. Since Jehovah is the Almighty and the
most high over all the earth, and since Jesus has a name which is above every name (Phil 2:9-10), and He is salvation (Luke 2:25-
32), then Jesus is the Almighty God. The NIV seeks to remove any reference that proves that Jesus is the Almighty God, therefore
every “Jehovah” has been omitted from the NIV.
Psa. 138:2 The AV says that God has magnified his word above his name. Jesus Christ is the living “word” of God (John 1:1,14).
He is magnified above all names. Bible corruptors change this verse to demote the “word” of God. (The written word of God is the
Holy Bible and the Bible corruptors seek to demote that as well.)
Isa. 9:6 The AV says, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his
name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Those who know their
English grammar know that the statement that follows a colon refers to the statement that precedes the colon. Therefore the meaning
of this verse is that the child that is born is indeed the Almighty God—and at the same time, He is the Everlasting Father. This is only
possible because God is a Trinity. The Godhead (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost) is one God. This verse proves the Trinity,
and it proves that Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is The mighty God. The NIV omits the colons in this verse so that it says, “For to us a
child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” The colon after “shoulder” has been replaced with a period; the absolute proof
that the colon gave is now only implied. Is the “he” referring to the child? Bible corruptors who deny the deity of Jesus and the
Trinity would like us to believe that the one who is “Wonderful” and “Mighty God” is the Father alone. Notice how the NIV
removes “The” from “The mighty God.” That little omission is done for a reason. “The Mighty God” indicates one God. “Mighty
God” does not indicate any such limit.
Isa. 14:12 In the NIV Lucifer is omitted; verses are changed to make “the morning star” the character even though “star” is not in the
Hebrew text. (Jesus is the morning star: Rev. 22:16; Luke 10:18). The NIV is confusing Lucifer with Jesus.
Isa. 48:12-16 In the NIV these verses are changed so that each Person of the Trinity is no longer represented. In the AV verse 16
says “Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the beginning of time that it was, there
am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.” Note the one God in three Persons: the “first and the last” who is
speaking is one Person (verse 12 through the beginning of verse 16), the Lord GOD (verse 16) is a different Person, and his Spirit
(verse 16) is the third Person. The “first and the last” is Jesus Christ (see Rev. 1:17-18). The NIV removes “from the beginning” so
the speaker appears to be the prophet instead of the “first and the last.” The NIV also changes “and his Spirit” to “with his Spirit” to
further weaken the doctrine of the Trinity (one God in three Persons).
Jer. 23:5-6 In the NIV capital letters are removed from THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, which refers to Jesus Christ.
Daniel 3:25 The AV says that the one who was protecting the three Israelites when they were thrown in the fiery furnace was “like
the Son of God,” a clear reference to Jesus as God in the Old Testament. The NIV changes “the Son of God” to “a son of the gods.”
Micah 5:2 The AV says that the ruler from Bethlehem is “from old, from everlasting.” Only God is from everlasting (Psa. 90:2; 93:
2); therefore, Jesus is God. He has always been. He was not created. He is God and was God in eternity past. The NIV changes
this verse to say that out of Israel will come a ruler “whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” Abraham and Noah are from
ancient times, but only God is from everlasting. Once again, the Bible corruptors seek to deny that Jesus is the Almighty God.
New Testament
Mt. 1:25 The NIV omits “firstborn.” Jesus was Mary’s firstborn child. The NIV also omits these other words and phrases: “ye
devour widows’ houses and for a pretense make long prayers” (Matt. 23:14) and “when ye pray, use not vain repetitions” (Matt. 6:
7).
Mt. 8:2 The NIV omits worship of Jesus 5 out of 11 places in the Gospels alone (Matt. 8:2; 9:18; 15:25; 20:20; Mark 5:6).
Mt. 8:12 In the AV Jesus speaks of “outer darkness” (which is a description of hell); the NIV changes “outer darkness” to “where it
is dark outside” (which is more like a description of a backyard).
Mt. 8:19 Regarding Jesus, the NIV changes the AV’s “Master” to “teacher” 50 out of 56 times. The Greek for “Rabbi” means
“Master,” not “Teacher” (John 1:38; Mt. 23:8). “Master” implies lordship and control, so therefore the Bible corruptors removed it.
Mt. 8:29 In this verse in the devils are speaking to Jesus. They say in the AV, “What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of
God? Art thou come hither to torment us before the time?” The devils recognized that Jesus had the power to torment them and that
at the end of the world He (Jesus) would send them to their torments. Jesus is God, and He is Judge (Acts 10:42). The NIV omits
the name “Jesus” from this verse, because the NIV follows the corrupted manuscripts written by those who denied the Trinity. The
Bible corruptors did not believe that Jesus was God—they believed that Jesus was a mere man or possibly a created being who was
exalted above man. They believed that “the Christ” was an entity from God that came on the man Jesus at His baptism and left Jesus
before the crucifixion. If the name “Christ” had been coupled with “Jesus,” the Bible corruptors would not have removed “Jesus”
from the verse. The corruptors would simply point to their belief that it was “the Christ entity” within the man Jesus that the devils
feared.
Mt. 9:2 The NIV denies in this verse that Jesus Himself forgives sin; by changing words, the NIV states that Jesus only affirms that
someone’s sins are already forgiven.
Mt. 9:6 In this verse the NIV changes Jesus’ “power” to forgive sins to Jesus’ “authority” to forgive sins.
Mt. 9:13 In the Authorized Version (AV) Jesus says, “I am not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.” The NIV
changes it to read: “I have not come to call the righteous but sinners.” The NIV omits “to repentance” without which, a man cannot
be saved (Acts 20:21). (The Bible corruptors are too cunning to remove every reference on repentance in one edition so some
references to repentance are still intact.)
Mt. 16:18 The NIV says “Hades” instead of “hell” in this and other verses (Hades is mythological; Hell actually exists).
Mt. 16:20 The NIV removes “Jesus” from the text when he tells the disciples that He is “Jesus the Christ.” The authors of the
corrupt Greek text from which the NIV evolved believed that only the “Christ entity” was claiming to be Christ; they believed that
Jesus was just the human inhabited by the Christ and that Jesus himself did not claim to be deity.
Mt. 17:21 The NIV omits prayer and fasting here and in other verses.
Mt. 18:3 The NIV changes Jesus’ words “Except ye be converted…” to “unless you change…” which is salvation by self-
reformation.
Mt. 18:11 The NIV omits “the Son of man is come to save that which is lost.”
Mt. 21:6 The AV says, “Jesus commanded…” The NIV changes it to read: “Jesus…instructed…” (The Bible corruptors do not
recognize Jesus as someone who would command: to them He is only a teacher and not the God of heaven.)
Mt. 26:2, 16 The AV says “betrayed” when describing Judas’ sin. The NIV changes it to an act of less severity by using the phrase
“handed over.”
Mt. 27: 24 The NIV omits that Jesus was “just.”
Mt. 27:35 The AV says “And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by
the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.” The NIV removes the words “that it
might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.”
Those words should not have been removed, because they are given show how the Old Testament prophecies of Messiah were
fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
Mt. 27:54 The NIV footnote says that Jesus was “a son of God” (just like other Christians) instead of “the Son of God.” (He is the
only begotten Son). The Bible corruptors refused to capitalize “Son.”
Mark 1:31 The NIV omits “immediately” from the phrase “and immediately the fever left her.”
(The word “immediately” proves that a miracle happened.)
Mark 6:2 The NIV omits “by his hands” in the phrase “mighty works are wrought by his hands.” (Many of the Bible corruptors
believe that the Christ entity within Jesus did the mighty works, but not Jesus himself; they do not believe that Jesus was God in the
flesh.)
Mark 6:7 In the NIV “Twelve” (referring to the disciples) is capitalized. Man is exalted in the NIV.
Mark 7:7 In the Authorized Version this verse says that men who teach the commandments of men as the doctrine of God actually
worship God in vain. In the NIV the verse is changed to infer that “rules” in general are the problem. Naturally the churches that
follow the commandments of men instead of the truth of God’s Word prefer to use the NIV instead of the Authorized Version.
Mark 15:27-28 The AV says, “27 And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left. 28
And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.” The NIV completely eliminates verse 28.
The verse should not be eliminated, because it is given to show how the Old Testament prophecies of Messiah were fulfilled in Jesus
Christ.
Luke 2:33 The AV correctly states, “And Joseph and his mother...” but the NIV changes it to “The child’s father and mother…”
Joseph is NOT Jesus’ father. This verse was changed to cast doubt on the virgin birth of Christ. In verse 48 of the same chapter,
Mary, who was upset because she didn’t know Jesus’ whereabouts, found him in the temple of God and blurted out, “Thy father and
I have sought thee sorrowing.” Without thinking, Mary had referred to Joseph as Jesus’ father, but Jesus gently rebuked her in verse
49: “Wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?” [God was Jesus’ Father, and Jesus was in the temple doing His Father’
s business. (Joseph’s business was that of a carpenter.)]
Luke 4:4 The AV says, “…man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” The NIV omits the phrase: “but by every
word of God.” The NIV translators do not think you need every word of God so they omitted over 64,000 words from the Bible.
Luke 23:38 The AV says, “ And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS
THE KING OF THE JEWS.” The NIV omits “written in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew.” However, those words explain
why three of the gospels record the message of the sign differently. The Bible corruptors do not want us to have an explanation for
the differences in the Gospels: the corruptors want people to think that the Bible is contradictory. (The NIV retained John 19:20
which is another verse which says that there were three languages on the sign. The Bible corruptors were too cunning to remove all
references in one edition.)
Luke 23:42 In the AV the thief on the cross says to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.” In the NIV,
the thief on the cross doesn’t call Jesus “Lord.” The Bible corruptors believed that when Jesus hung on the cross he was no longer
indwelt by the Christ entity and therefore was no longer the Lord.
John 1:3 Regarding Jesus the Creator, the AV says, “All things were made by him…” (which leaves no doubt that Jesus directly
created all things). The NIV changes the verse to read: “Through him all things were made…” The NIV also changes other verses
(see also Eph. 3:9 and Heb. 1:2) that prove that Jesus is the direct Creator.
John 1:26-30 Although John the Baptist was born 6 months before Jesus, John says of Jesus in the AV in verse 30, “…he was
before me.” Jesus existed as the eternal God before John was conceived. Also, John the Baptist says of Jesus in verses 15, 27, and
30 “…he is preferred before me…;” Jesus was preferred before John, not because He worked to be a better person than John, but
because He is God. The NIV completely eliminates the phrase “preferred before me” in verse 15, 27, and 30; in verses 15 and 30
the NIV replaces the phrase with “has surpassed me.” That change leads the reader to think that Jesus and John were at one time
equal, but then Jesus surpassed John. The truth is that Jesus was always above John, because Jesus is God.
John 3:13 The AV says, “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which
is in heaven.” Jesus spoke these words while He was on the earth; notice that while He is on the earth, He says that He is in heaven.
Jesus is everywhere at the same time (He is omnipresent}---only God has that attribute. The Bible corruptors omit the phrase “which
is in heaven” in order to hide the fact that He was both places at once.
John 3:15 The AV says, “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” The NIV changes the verse to
read: “that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.” The NIV also omits “should not perish.” Bible corruptors are slowly
changing verses that are intolerant of other religions. In their minds no one will perish eternally, no matter what that person believes.
Ironically, at the same time the corruptors do not believe that we can know with certainty that we are going to heaven, so they
inserted the word “may” into the verse.
John 3:31 The AV says, “He that cometh from above is above all…” The NIV changes it to “The one who comes from above is
above all.” “He” is replaced with “the one.” Future false bibles will change the male pronouns which refer to God to gender neutral
pronouns.
John 6:47 The AV says, “ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” The NIV omits “on me.”
Without the words “on me” the text would then read “He that believeth hath everlasting life, which implies that if one believes
anything, he will have everlasting life. The truth is that one must believe ON JESUS to have everlasting life.
John 6:62 “Man” is capitalized in the NIV. We see that the NIV gives man more honor than he deserves and gives Jesus less
honor than He deserves.
John 14:23 The AV says, “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words:” The NIV changes
“words” to “word’. Yes, we should keep the “word” of God, but we are to also keep the “words” of God---every one of them.
John 17:5 In the AV Jesus says to the Father, “…glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory I had with thee before the world
was.” The NIV changes “with thine own self” to “in your presence.” [The Bible corruptors don’t mind if Jesus is glorified in God’s
presence, but they refuse to have Jesus share God’s glory for that would prove Jesus is God (See Isa. 42:8 which says that God will
not share his glory with another; since Jesus shared God’s glory before the world was, Jesus is God. This is possible because God is
a Trinity.)]
Acts 3:20 The NIV changes the AV’s “Jesus Christ which before was preached unto you” to “the Christ who has been appointed
for you—even Jesus” (New Age teachings have crept into the modern versions of the Bible. These changes promote the idea that
there are many ages with many Christs and that Jesus is the Christ appointed for this age. See also Matt. 28:20 and Gal. 1:4 and
many other verses where “world” is changed to “age;” the Bible corruptors believe that the world will not end, but another age will
dawn. See where “from the beginning” is replaced with “for ages past” in Eph. 3:9.)
Acts 4:27,30 The NIV changes the AV’s “holy child” to “holy servant.” There is a reason for this change: if Jesus was holy as a
child, it would prove wrong those who believe that Jesus was just a human until the baptism when the Christ entity indwelt him.
Acts 8:35 The NIV changes the AV’s “preached unto him Jesus” to “told him the good news about Jesus.” A man can preach the
good news about “Tom,” and we would all assume that something wonderful happened to Tom. If the disciples “told …the good
news about Jesus” people would think something wonderful happened to Jesus. If the disciples “preached Jesus,” then Jesus would
be exalted. Rather than exalt Jesus, the Bible corruptors wanted us to think that something wonderful happened to him (that the
“Christ spirit” indwelt Him).
Acts 8:37 This verse says that you must believe with all your heart before you are baptized. This verse is completely omitted in the
NIV in order to please those who promote the false belief that infants should be baptized. An infant is too young to believe with all
his heart.
Acts 17:22 The Apostle Paul told the idol worshipping men of Athens that they were “too superstitious;” the NIV changes “too
superstitious” to “too religious.” Bible corruptors do not want to condemn any false belief even if it is mere superstition. Of course,
the Bible corruptors do not want us to be “too religious.”
Acts 20:28 In the AV the Apostle Paul says that the Ephesian pastors should “feed the church of God which he hath purchased with
his own blood.” It was the blood of God that was shed on the cross of Calvary . In the NIV a footnote attacks Jesus’ deity; it
questions the use of the word “God” in this verse. The Bible corruptors do not mind if the word “Lord” is used in reference to Jesus,
since “Lord” sometimes refers to a mere man in a high position, but they do not want Jesus to be referred to as “God.”
Rom. 1:3 The NIV says that Jesus had a human nature, but Jesus did not have a human nature; He had only a divine nature. If He
had a human nature, He would have been a sinner.
Rom. 3:21-22 The AV says, “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifest….even the righteousness of God which
is by faith of Jesus Christ…” The NIV says, “But now a righteousness from God apart from the law has been made known….this
righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ….” True Christians know that Jesus Christ is the very righteousness of
God; He is the essence of righteousness. The Bible corruptors do not want to acknowledge that Jesus Christ alone is the
righteousness of God; and that righteousness is found only in Him. By changing “the righteousness of God” to “a righteousness of
God” the Bible corruptors have tried to spread their false beliefs: other ages, other Christs, and other ways to heaven.
Rom. 5:18 The NIV changes the AV's “the righteousness of one” (referring to Jesus) to “one righteous act.” The Bible corruptors
would like people to think that justification has come on men because of one righteous act of Jesus, when in fact, Jesus is the
righteousness of God. Justification has come on men not only because of what Jesus did on the cross, but also because of who
Jesus is: He is the righteousness of God (Romans 10:3-4). Jesus was no mere man who died in our place; He is God. Those who
have been justified know that God took their sins on the cross and that He gave them His righteousness (II Cor. 5:21).
Rom. 7:18-25 The key to understanding this portion of Scripture is found in the AV. It is the word “mind.” The Apostle Paul was
saved and therefore had a spiritual mind; his problem was that he had a carnal (fleshly) body. The unsaved have both a carnal mind
(they mind things of the flesh—Phil 3:19) and a carnal body. Romans 8:5-10,23 also bears this out. The NIV has changed and
omitted words so that the entire meaning of Romans 7 is changed.
Rom. 10:16 The NIV omits “obeyed the gospel.” God commands all men to repent and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. It
is a command that should be obeyed (Rom. 6:17; Acts 17:30; Acts 20:21).
Rom. 14:9-11 The AV says “…for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live saith the Lord,
every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give an account of himself to
God.” These verses state that to stand before Christ‘s judgment seat is to stand before God. In verse 10 the NIV changes “judgment
seat of Christ” to read “God’s judgment seat.” The Bible corruptors changed the verse so verses 9-11 couldn’t prove the deity of
Christ.
I Cor. 1:18 The AV says, “…unto us which are saved…” The NIV changes it to: “…to us who are being saved..." The verb tense
is changed to indicate that salvation is a process.
I Cor. 9:27 In the AV the Apostle Paul says, “…I keep under my body and bring it into subjection…” The NIV changes Paul’s
words to “…I beat my body…” The Apostle Paul never beat his body, but centuries ago a Bible corruptor named Origen
emasculated (castrated) himself. The NIV and other modern bibles evolved from Origen’s texts.
I Cor. 11:24 This verse in the AV says Jesus body was broken for us, but “broken” is omitted in the NIV; the Bible corruptors want
to imply that Jesus body was not broken for us, but that his body was only available to us so that the Christ spirit could dwell within it.
II Cor. 2:10 The AV says “person of Christ” but the NIV changes it to “sight of Christ”; the NIV promotes the belief that Christ is
only a spirit, not a person.
II Cor. 2:17 There were Bible corruptors living and active in the days of the Apostle Paul. The AV says in II Cor. 2:17, (Paul
speaking) “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God…” Paul was aware that false teachers who hated Jesus Christ
were already making their false copies of God’s Word. The Bible corruptors are still with us today, and they had to change this verse
because it condemns them. The NIV changes “corrupt” to “peddle;” the NIV says, “Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of
God.”
II Cor. 4:14 The AV says, “…shall raise us up also by Jesus…” The NIV changes it to say “…will also raise us up with Jesus…”
The Bible corruptors can’t have you thinking that Jesus has the power to raise us from the dead; they don’t mind if we get raised with
Jesus, but they don’t want us to be raised by Jesus.
II Cor. 10:5 The Authorized Version says that we should be “casting down imaginations;” but the NIV says that we should
“demolish arguments.” The vile imaginations of men are far worse than arguments.
Gal. 5:12 In the AV the Apostle Paul says, “I would that they were even cut off that trouble you.” The NIV changes it to read: “I
wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves.” We see Origen’s influence here again (see above: I Cor. 9:27).
Eph. 2:1 The word “quickened” in the AV means “made spiritually alive.” The new birth is a miracle---those who are dead in sins
are given new life in Christ. The NIV omits “quickened,” and therefore there is no reference to “new life in Christ” in this verse.
Eph. 2:2,3 The NIV omits “children of disobedience” and “children of wrath” in these verses; these omissions further the false
doctrine that all men are the children of God and have no need of the miracle of the new birth.
Eph. 3:9 The AV says, “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath
been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.” The NIV omits “who created all things by Jesus Christ.”
Eph. 4:6 The AV says, “One God… in you all” (meaning those who are the Christians at Ephesus ). The NIV says, “One God …in
all.” God is not in all people; only saved people have God dwelling within them. “God in all” is a universalist new age teaching.
Eph. 5:1 The AV says, “Be ye therefore followers of God…” The NIV says “Be imitators of God…” It is impossible for people to
imitate God; they can only follow Him.
Eph. 5:6 The NIV omits “children of disobedience.”
Eph. 5:20 The AV says, “…unto God and the Father...” The NIV omits the “and” in the phrase. There is a reason for this: the
skeptics who do not believe in Jesus’ deity would point to II Tim 4:1 in the AV that says “God and the Lord Jesus Christ” in order to
promote their belief that Jesus is separate from God. In response, true believers can show the skeptics many verses in the AV such
as Eph 5:20 which say “God and the Father.” The Bible corruptors have therefore endeavored to eliminate this response from true
believers by rearranging the words in those verses which apply (see Col. 1:3; Col. 2:2; Col. 3:17; Gal. 1:4; I Thess. 1:3; I Thess. 3:
11; James 1:27; Rev. 1:6).
Eph. 5:30 The AV says, “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.” The NIV says simply “for we are
members of his body.” The Bible corruptors do not believe Christ had flesh and bones so they eliminated such references in the
NIV; the corruptors don’t mind if He has a body, for a body is not always flesh and bones (examples: a paragraph has a body; a car
has a body, but it does not have flesh and bones). See I Tim. 3:16.
Phil 2:6 Regarding Jesus, the AV says, “Who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God.” The NIV
changes it to read: “Who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped.” Jesus was and is
equal with God the Father (See John 5:21-23), but the Bible corruptors have tried to hide that truth.
Phil. 2:15 Christians have always believed that we are to be a light to the lost world---a light so bright that when on a candlestick, it
gives light to all that are in the house (Matt. 5:14-16) so that others might see the change Jesus Christ has made in our lives. The AV
says in Phil 2:15, “…among whom ye shine as lights in the world.” But the NIV changes the verse to read: “…shine like stars in the
universe.” The stars give very little light to our world.
Phil 3:16 The NIV omits “walk by the same rule” and “let us mind the same thing.” Words that urge Christians to think like the
Apostle Paul and other godly leaders have been omitted in numerous places in the NIV.
Phil. 4:13 The AV says, “I can do all things through Christ…” The NIV says, “I can do everything through him...” The NIV
rendering is generic so that anyone of any faith can quote it.
Col. 1:14 The NIV omits “through his blood.”
Col. 3:2 The AV says, “Set your affection on things above…” The NIV says, “Set your minds on things above…” (“Affections” are
not the same as “minds.”)
Col. 2:9 The AV confirms the deity of Jesus Christ: “For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” The NIV changes
the following verse (verse 10) so that the reader is led to think that this same fullness indwells all believers.
Col. 3:6 The AV says, “…the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience.” The NIV says only, “…the wrath of God is
coming.” The NIV eliminates “children of disobedience.” The Bible corruptors believe that all people are children of God; this is a
false belief (John 8:42-45). John 1:12 says that a person must receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour in order to become a child
of God.
I Thess. 3:13 and 4:14 These verses in the AV prove that Jesus is God. The AV says in I Thess. 3:13 that Jesus is the one who is
coming to this earth for the believers: “To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father,
at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.” Read down a few verses to I Thess. 4:14 to see that the one coming for
the believers is God, thus proving that Jesus is God: “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep
in Jesus will God bring with him.” The Bible corruptors had to change that last verse, because they do not believe that Jesus is God.
The NIV says in I Thess. 4:14, “We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those
who have fallen asleep in him.” The NIV says that God will bring “with Jesus” instead of “with him” to cast doubt on Jesus’ deity.
I Thess 5:22 says, “Abstain from all appearance of evil.” That means that even is something is not evil, but appears to be evil, we
should abstain from it. However, the NIV says, “Avoid every kind of evil.” The command to avoid “the appearance” of evil has
been removed.
I Tim. 3:16 This verse in the AV proves that Jesus is God who came to earth in the flesh. The AV says, “And without controversy
great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh…preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up
into glory.” The NIV changes the verse to read: “Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: he appeared in a body…”
Notice that the NIV changes “God” to “he” so the proof that Jesus is God is deleted. Also, the NIV changes “flesh” to “body.” The
Bible corruptors do not believe that God took on flesh to be our Saviour.
I Tim. 6:14-16 This verse in the AV proves that Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. The AV says, “That thou keep this
commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the
blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords...” Now see how the NIV takes the glory from Jesus: “To keep
this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time ----
God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of Lords…” Do you see how the corrupt NIV added “God” two times
in verse 15 so that the King of kings and Lord of lords appears to be God but not Jesus? See Rev. 19:11-16 for proof that the King
of kings and Lord of lords is the Word of God [Jesus Christ the Creator (John 1:1-18)].
II Tim. 1:7 The AV says “sound mind.” The NIV changes it to “self-discipline.” God gives sound minds to those who are saved.
Jesus gave the maniac of Gadara a sound mind, didn’t He? That was not self-discipline-- it was a miracle. The Bible corruptors do
not understand the peace of mind that the Christian has. They do not understand that salvation is a miracle of God; salvation is not
“self-reformation.”
II Tim. 2:15 The AV says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God…” The NIV says, “Do your best to present yourself to
God…” The Bible corruptors removed the word “study;” they do not want you to study the Bible---- if you study, you may find out
how they have changed the truth of God into a lie.
Titus 3:10-11 In this verse the AV says that we should reject an heretick (a person who holds religious opinions contrary to the
Scriptures). The Bible corruptors are hereticks because they do not hold to the fundamental truths of the Bible, one of which is the
doctrine of the Trinity which is God in three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Bible corruptors changed the
words in this verse. The NIV replaces “heretick” with “divisive person.” A divisive person is a person who divides people. Often
Jesus divided the people as He preached the truth to the false religious leaders. According to the NIV (verse 11) people that are
“divisive” are warped and sinful. Jesus was neither warped nor sinful.
Heb. 1:1-3 In the AV there is no doubt that the Son is the one holding the universe together by His powerful word (v.3); however in
the NIV the sentence structure has been changed so that the one sustaining the universe is referring to the Father only.
Heb. 1:3 The AV says, “…when he had by himself purged our sins…” Jesus alone purged our sins by Himself without help from
sinful man. This verse proves that there is no need for “purgatory” or any other payment for sins. The NIV changed the verse to say:
“After he had provided purification for our sins…”. Such a change would please those churches who believe that sins are purged
through the use of holy water, purgatory, etc.
Heb 2:16 The AV says (speaking of Christ), “For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of
Abraham. This is a verse that tells us that Christ came in the flesh. Here is the verse in the NIV: “For surely it is not angels he helps,
but Abraham's descendants.”
Heb. 7:26 The AV says that Jesus is “separate from sinners.” The NIV says Jesus is “set apart from sinners,” which implies that
Jesus was once a sinner. (To set someone apart from others indicates all were previously together.) Jesus was never a sinner.
Heb. 9:10 The AV says “reformation.” The NIV says “the new order.”
Heb. 9:12 The AV says that Jesus “obtained eternal redemption for us.” The NIV omits the phrase “for us.” Therefore, the NIV
scripture indicates that Jesus redeemed only himself. (Jesus did not have to be redeemed.) The phrase “for us” is also omitted in I
Cor. 5:7 and I Peter 4:1 in the NIV.
Heb. 9:14 The AV says “dead works.” The NIV changes it to “acts that lead to death.” The wording has been changed to infer that
the subject is suicide, when the verse actually means that the lost should trust in the blood of Christ to save them instead of their own
dead works [the good works produced by unsaved people (spiritually dead) are called “dead works”].
Heb. 10:14 The AV says, “…he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.” The NIV says, “…he has made perfect forever
those who are being made holy.” The wrong verb tense is used in several verses of the NIV to indicate that salvation is a process.
See also I Cor. 1:18 where the verb tense is again changed to indicate that salvation is a process (the AV says, “unto us which are
saved” but the NIV says, “to us who are being saved").
Heb.11:3 The AV says that the worlds were framed by the “word of God.” Jesus is the Word (John 1:1-14 and Rev. 19:11-16) so
He is the Creator, and therefore, He is God (Heb. 3:4; Acts 14:15). The NIV removes the phrase “by the word of God” and
replaces it with “at God’s command” so that Jesus will not be recognized as the Creator.
James 5:16 The AV says, “The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” The NIV says, “The prayer of a
righteous man is powerful and effective.” The NIV conveys a totally different meaning; it implies any prayer of a righteous man is
powerful. The AV states the verse correctly: it is the effectual, fervent prayer that brings results. The NIV doesn’t support praying
fervently or fasting (fasting is omitted in Mt. 17:21; Mk. 9:29; Acts 10:30; I Cor. 7:5; II Cor. 6:5; II Cor. 11:27).
I Peter 2:9 The NIV omits the phrase “peculiar people.”
I Peter 4:11 The AV says, “…that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever
and ever.” The NIV changes it to read: “…so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and
the power for ever and ever.” The AV says that Jesus is to receive praise and dominion; the NIV removes the comma after Jesus
Christ and replaces it with a period. The NIV adds “To him” so that the reader has to wonder who is to receive the glory. The Bible
corruptors don’t mind giving God the Father praise, but, whenever possible, they will change the Scriptures so that Jesus will not get
the glory and honor due him. Jesus said in John 5:23, “That all men should honor the Son, even as they honour the Father which hath
sent him.”
II Peter 1:21 The NIV omits “holy” when describing the writers of the Old Testament.
II Peter 2:17 The AV says, “…to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.” The NIV says, “Blackest darkness is reserved
for them.” The NIV removes “for ever.” Such an omission avoids the truth of eternal punishment.
II Peter 3:10 The AV says, “…the earth …shall be burned up.” The NIV says, “…the earth…will be laid bare.” “burned up” is
omitted (So a new age can dawn?---see Acts 3:20 notes).
I John 2:8 The AV says “…the darkness is past...” The NIV says “…the darkness is passing…” which indicates salvation is a
process instead of a miracle of God that occurs in a moment. The new birth is accomplished in a moment— the spiritually dead is
quickened and given new life in Christ the moment he repents and believes. Some Bible corruptors would have you believe that
salvation is accomplished through years of good works and self-reformation. See also Heb. 10:14 and I Cor. 1:18.
I John 3:16 The AV says, “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us…” The NIV says, “This is
how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.” The AV tells us that God laid down his life, thus proving that Jesus
is God. (The Bible corruptors changed the verse so that Jesus Christ is not exalted as God.)
I John 4:3 The AV says, “Every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God.” The NIV says, “but
every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.” The phrase “come in the flesh” is omitted from the NIV. (“Come in
the flesh” remains in verse 2, but is omitted in verse 3. The Bible corruptors want to eventually omit all the verses that say that God
came to this earth in the flesh.)
I John 5:7 The NIV completely deleted the greatest verse in the Bible regarding the Trinity: “There are three that bear record in
heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” The Word is Jesus Christ (see John 1:1-3, 9-15).
I John 5:18 Regarding the way a Christian spurns a sinful lifestyle, the AV says, “…he that is begotten of God keepeth himself…”
The NIV changes it to “…the one who is born of God keeps him safe…” Keeps whom safe? The NIV is vague and confusing.
Rev. 1:8, 11, 13-18 (all verses together). The AV says in verses 17 and 18 (Jesus is speaking): “…Fear not, I am the first and the
last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore…” And verse 11 says that “the first and the last” is
called “the Alpha and Omega.” And verse 8 says that the “Alpha and Omega” is called “the Almighty.” Therefore, Jesus is the
Almighty God. The NIV omits the names “Alpha and Omega” and “the first and last” from verse 11 so that Jesus will not be seen as
the Almighty God in that chapter. (Also note how the NIV omits “the beginning and the ending” from Rev. 1:8.) For further proof that
“the first and the last” is the Almighty God (the beginning and the ending) see Rev. 22:13.
Rev. 1:13 The NIV also makes another change in this chapter. The AV’s “the Son of man” in verse 13 is changed to “a son of
man…” (the capital “S” is removed in another effort to portray Jesus as a mere man).
Rev. 13:16 The AV says, “a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads…” The NIV says, “a mark on his right hand or on his
forehead…” The Bible corruptors violate the laws of grammar and interchange prepositions as it suits them in order to change the
meaning of verses. The mark is to be in the forehead (as an implanted chip perhaps).
Rev 19:8 The AV says (speaking of the bride of Christ), “And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and
white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” The righteousness of the saints is a free gift given to them by God (Rom. 5:17-
18; I Cor. 5:21; Rom 6:23). Ephesians 2:8,9 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift
of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.” Yet, the NIV has changed Rev 19:8 to say that it is the righteous acts of the saints
that have supplied their fine linen (a symbol of their purity): “Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear. (Fine linen stands for
the righteous acts of the saints.)” This verse and others in the NIV contradict the doctrine of salvation by grace, and lead people to
think that salvation is by good works.
Rev. 20:12 Regarding the great day of judgment, the AV says, “I saw the small and great, stand before God…” The NIV changes it
to read: “I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne…” Why would the Bible corruptors change “God” to “the
throne?” They changed it because the true Scriptures teach that Jesus Christ shall judge the quick and the dead (John 5:22; Acts 10:
42; Rom 14:9-12). Since God is on the throne to judge, that proves that Jesus is God. The Bible corruptors had to change the verse
so that Jesus would not be exalted as God.
Rev. 21:24 Regarding the holy city: the AV says, “And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it…” The NIV
changes it to read: “The nations will walk by its light…” The NIV omitted the words “of them which are saved.” The omission of
those words would help to promote the belief that everyone goes to heaven, which is a belief contrary to the Word of God.
